Is it normal for glue to turn yellow or green?Updated 2 months ago

Commonly, industrial-strength adhesives turn yellow/green if not stored in a cool, dry place, (This can lead to a shortened shelf life.) as stated on the back of the tube.  Another factor is if caps are not tightened on glue tubes after each use.

Yellowing can also happen when mixed with certain paints and sealants before applying glue.

Lastly, from our experience, glue can sometimes have a yellow/green tint upon opening a new tube because it is exposed to heat during the shipping process.  In this case,  this is usually just the first bit of glue coming out from the tip. Once squeezed past this point, the glue should return to clear.  Krystal Glaze has a shelf life of roughly one year. Have a sparkly day!
